Paleokastritsa
Paleokastritsa offers a
magic scene, untouched by time as first seen by Odysseus arriving at
the island of the famous Feakons. At the top of the Paleokastritsa
there is the monastery of the virgin Mary which holds the famous
icon on "our lady" (dated 1899)
Inside the monastery
you can visit the museum, which is well worth a visit. The area is
circled by many wonderful beaches, where you have the chance to swim
in its crystal waters and enjoy all the water sports. Also there are
many fish taverns and restaurants which have always fresh fish, and
many shops from where you can buy your presents.
Lastly taking the road
up to Lakones the area of Bella Vista with its lovely view of the
coastline of Paleokastritsa and Corfu in general is something that
will surely impress you !!!
